Scientific REACH Committee
The members are appointed by the federal ministers for public health and the environment. The members are appointed for a term of five years (Decree of appointment).
The scientific committee offers advice on the dangers and risks of chemical substances to public health and the environment, in particular within the context of the implementation of REACH. It also offers advice to the REACH Committee or on the request of the REACH Committee. You can consult the non-confidential advice and evaluations here.
To ensure the independence of the scientific committee, all interests shall at any time be known in a transparent manner, so that it is clear to anyone that there is no conflict of interest when giving advice. Therefore the members complete a declaration of interests annually:
